Junior System Engineer

Career Level: Junior.
Experience min. 0,5 – 1 years (experience gained on personal projects is also taken into consideration).

Job Type: Full-time.

Location: Bucharest.

Hard skills:
You have basic knowledge and interest to develop technical skills on following technologies:
Linux:
• Linux systems administration (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery);
• Linux web servers (ex: nginx / apache);
Networking:
• Basic knowledge about implementing, managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including firewall, routers, switches, controllers & wireless access points;
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols;

Would be a plus:

• Linux or networking courses or certifications;
• Education – Bachelor’s Degree in technology or related field;
• Hands-on experience with CISCO hardware and Linux Systems;
• Experience in an entrepreneurial work environment.
As a Junior System Engineer you have Network & System Engineer responsibilities that relate to the delivery of quality IT services on time.

Network Engineer Responsabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer’s network issues;
• Use network monitoring tools to respond to incidents and constantly optimize the network;
• Perform proactive maintenance activities to prevent incidents;
• Propose and implement physical network infrastructure;
• Propose and implement virtual network infrastructure (Public Cloud/VMware).

System Engineer Responsabilities
• Perform system administration activities, such as deployments, configuration, system monitoring, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting;
• Assist with Helpdesk functions as needed, such as responding to tickets, managing:
– Linux servers and
– Infrastructure and/or;
– Virtualization solutions and/or;
– Cloud Solutions.
• Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot our internal and client’s technology assets.
